MDE CERTIFICATION EXAM

For 2023, the Maryland Board of Water and Waste Systems Operators will deliver the Maryland State Operator Certification Exam for all classes, at the conclusion of the Short Course on Friday, June 7, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., in Hodson Hall. 

This exam is not part of the actual Short Courses and is separate from the TRE credit exam given by each session of the Short Course.  (After you arrive at Short Course, you may make arrangements with your instructor to take both tests).

You must apply separately to the Maryland Board of Waterworks and Waste Systems Operators to sit for the Maryland Certification Exam. 

No more than 200 applications will be accepted for this exam.

The Board must receive the application for those wishing to take the Certification Exam at Mount Saint Mary's College by May 10, 2024.

Payment to attend the Short Course does not include the cost,

nor entitle you to take the Maryland Certification Exam!
